A seasoned veteran of the litigation support industry, Laura brings more than 30 years of experience in litigation planning, management and support to First Advantage Litigation Consulting, as well as a perspective shaped by leadership roles at both service providers and corporations. Her extensive expertise in corporate litigation support translates to an understanding of corporate business processes and objectives, cost and risk analysis, and document management strategies.
Laura came to First Advantage Litigation Consulting through True Data Partners, which was acquired by First Advantage in the fall of 2005. At True Data, she managed the team responsible for electronic data processing on the company’s proprietary platform. During the post-acquisition integration, she was instrumental in effecting a smooth transition into the Litigation Consulting unit. Throughout her tenure, she has been directly involved in overseeing company operations. Prior to joining our team in 2004, she spent three years as Vice President of California Operations at Daticon, managing scanning, printing and electronic data processing.
Laura began her career in 1980 as a paralegal with ARCO (now BP), and by 1986, she had been promoted to Manager of Litigation Services, responsible for managing a team of more than 100 paralegal, litigation support, technical and clerical staff responsible for factual and legal research, discovery, automated litigation support, and preparation for arbitrations and trials. She directed international and domestic document collection and review for large-scale matters, and participated in data preservation and litigation hold activities. Laura managed activities relating to a wide variety of high-stakes, complex litigation, investigations, and regulatory inquiries at ARCO, supporting the company in antitrust matters; mass toxic tort matters; Superfund, environmental, and related insurance coverage matters; and multi-defendant actions.
